How To Make Bulgur Mujaddara

Bulgur mujaddara is a Middle Eastern rice pilaf made with bulgur and lentils and seasoned with olive oil and topped with caramelized onions.

Ingredients

  • 2tbspolive oil
  • 3onions,chopped
  • ¾cuplentils
  • cupswater
  • 1cupfine grain bulgur
  • 1salt,to taste
  • pepper,to taste
  • caramelized onion,for serving

Instructions

  1. Over medium heat, pour the olive oil into a pot. Add the chopped onions, lentils, and water. Cover the pot and simmer the lentils.

  2. Add the bulgur, salt, and pepper. Cover the pot and cook over low heat until the bulgur is cooked.

  3. Serve with caramelized onions.

  4. Enjoy!
