Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of mussels, cleaned and debearded
  • 1 cup of tomato juice
  • 1/2 cup of vodka
  • 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of hot sauce
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of horseradish
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the tomato juice, vodka, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, minced garlic, horseradish, and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper.

  2. Bring the sauce to a simmer over medium heat.

  3. Add the cleaned mussels to the pot and cover with a lid. Cook for about 10 minutes, or until the mussels have opened.

  4. Discard any mussels that have not opened.

  5. Carefully transfer the mussels to a serving bowl, pouring the sauce over the top.

  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot!
