This coleslaw recipe is a perfect side for the summer! The addition of buttermilk gives it that extra creaminess and tang to this refreshing side dish.

Ingredients

Slaw

  • 1 head cabbage
  • 2 tbsp. onion, minced
  • 1/4 cup carrot, shredded

Dressing

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tbsp. lemon Juice
  • 1 1/4 tbsp. white vinegar
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Chop cabbage small enough to put into your food processor and process until coarse.

  2. Combine the cabbage, carrots and onion into a bowl and mix together.
  3. Combine all of the dressing ingredients into a large bowl and whisk.

  4. Pour the dressing into the bowl with the slaw ingredients and mix well.

  5. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours before serving.
