How To Make Strawberry Trifle

  • 48ozstrawberries
  • ½cupsugar
  • 1angel food cake,10 inches, store-bought

For Cream Layer:

  • 16ozcream cheese,softened
  • 1orange,zested and juiced
  • ½cupsugar
  • 3cupsheavy cream,whipped


  1. Slice strawberries and toss with ½ cup sugar. Allow to sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.

  2. Cube angel food cake into 1-inch cubes.

Cream Layer:

  1. Beat cream cheese, orange zest, sugar, and ¼ cup orange juice until fluffy. Fold in whipped cream.

To Assemble:

  1. Drain strawberries reserving juices.

  2. Place ½ of the cake cubes into the bottom of a trifle dish. Drizzle with half of the reserved strawberry juice. Top with ⅓ of the cream layer mixture and ½ of the strawberries.

  3. Repeat layers and top with the remaining cream cheese mixture.

  4. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
