How To Make Fudgy Brownie Trifle

A fantastic and easy recipe for rich and delicious fudgy brownie trifle. This wonderful dessert is sure to be loved by chocolate lovers and dessert enthusiasts alike!

  • 1 pkg Betty Crocker fudge brownie mix
  • ¼ cup water
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp dry instant coffee, freeze-dried
  • 4 oz chocolate fudge instant pudding mix
  • 4 cups cold milk
  • 10 oz English Toffee bits


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Grease bottom only of rectangular 13x9x2-inch pan.

  3. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions, using water, oil and eggs.

  4. Stir coffee into batter. Spread in pan. Bake as directed; cool completely.
  5. Cut brownies into 1-inch squares.

  6. Place ½ the squares in the bottom of a 3-quart trifle or glass bowl.

  7. Prepare pudding mix as directed, using milk.
  8. Pour ½ the pudding over the brownies in bowl or trifle dish.

  9. Top with ½ of the toffee bits and whipped topping.

  10. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  11. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours.
