This recipe is a more moist version of your regular apple crumble pie with low-fat vanilla yogurt. Serve it at your next party or family dinner and it’ll be a crowd favorite for sure!

  • 1 pie crust, prepared in a 9-inch pie plate, do not blind bake

For Filling:

  • 1⅔ lb baking apples, cored and diced
  • cup vanilla yogurt, or vanilla-flavored yogurt, thick
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 egg

For Streusel Topping:

  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, cut into cubes and chilled
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt

For Serving:

  • 2 tbsp caramel sauce, per serving


  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Combine all your ingredients for the streusel topping. Set aside.

  3. Prepare your filling. Beat your yogurt and egg together in a bowl.

  4. Add the rest of your ingredients into a mixing bowl. Stir to combine.

  5. Add your yogurt mixture and fold until evenly incorporated.

  6. Spread your filling into your prepared pie crust, then sprinkle the top with the prepared streusel.

  7. Bake for roughly 50 minutes or until your filling is bubbly and golden brown.

  8. Set aside at room temperature until your pie has cooled down completely.

  9. Portion accordingly. Drizzle with caramel sauce and serve.
