How To Make Apple Yogurt Pie
Celebrate any occasion with this apple yogurt pie recipe. Tender apples and creamy yogurt are mixed up in a sweet and tart apple crumble.
Ingredients
- 1 pie crust, prepared in a 9-inch pie plate, do not blind bake
For Filling:
- 1ā lb baking apples, cored and diced
- ā cup vanilla yogurt, or vanilla-flavored yogurt, thick
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 egg
For Streusel Topping:
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter, cut into cubes and chilled
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp salt
For Serving:
- 2 tbsp caramel sauce, per serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Combine all the ingredients for the streusel topping. Set aside.
- Prepare the filling. Beat yogurt and egg together in a bowl.
- Add the rest of the ingredients into a mixing bowl. Stir to combine.
- Add yogurt mixture and fold until evenly incorporated.
- Spread filling into the prepared pie crust, then sprinkle the top with the prepared streusel.
- Bake for roughly 50 minutes or until filling is bubbly and golden brown.
- Set aside at room temperature until pie has cooled down completely.
- Portion accordingly. Drizzle with caramel sauce and serve.
