Serves:
Ingredients
- 100g dark chocolate, chopped
- 100g milk chocolate, chopped
- 100g white chocolate, chopped
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Chocolate shavings, for garnish
Instructions
-
Place each type of chocolate in separate heatproof bowls.
-
In a saucepan, heat 1 cup of heavy cream over medium heat until it starts to simmer.
-
Pour the hot cream over the dark chocolate and let it sit for a few minutes. Stir until smooth and well combined. Set aside.
-
Repeat step 3, using another 1 cup of heavy cream for the milk chocolate, and the remaining 1 cup for the white chocolate.
-
In a separate bowl, whip the remaining 1 cup of heavy cream with the granulated sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
-
Divide the whipped cream into three equal parts and gently fold each part into the respective bowls of melted chocolate, creating three different chocolate mousses.
-
To assemble, start with a layer of dark chocolate mousse at the bottom of each serving glass or bowl. Follow with a layer of milk chocolate mousse, and finish with a layer of white chocolate mousse. Repeat for all 4 servings.
-
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to set.
-
Garnish with chocolate shavings before serving.
