Ingredients

  • 1 cup of softened unsalted butter
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 3 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp of baking soda
  • ½ tsp of baking powder
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F (175 C).

  2. Beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.

  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, stirring until combined.

  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.

  7. Drop the dough by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.

  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.

  9. Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
