How To Make Hardee’s Mushroom and Swiss Thickburger

Juicy beef patty smothered in melted Swiss cheese and sautéed mushrooms on a toasted sesame seed bun.

Ingredients

  • 4 sesame seed buns
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or pan to high heat.

  2. Season ground beef with salt and pepper; divide into 4 equal portions. Shape patties.

  3. Grill or pan-fry patties for 4-5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness.

  4. In a separate pan, sauté mushrooms in butter until tender.

  5. Meanwhile, toast the sesame seed buns.

  6. Place a slice of Swiss cheese on top of each patty and let it melt.

  7. Assemble the burger: place a patty on the bottom bun, top with sautéed mushrooms, and cover with the top bun.

  8. Serve hot.
