  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Vanilla ice cream, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.

  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  6. Grease a 9-inch cast iron skillet. Spread the cookie dough evenly in the skillet.

  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and set.

  8. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
