  • 1 cup pitted olives (such as Kalamata or green olives)
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons capers
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 baguette, sliced and lightly toasted


  1. In a food processor, blend together the olives, garlic, capers, lemon juice, and olive oil until a coarse paste forms.

  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Spread a generous amount of the olive tapenade onto each toasted baguette slice.

  4. Serve and enjoy!
