Sweet Potato Chips Recipe

An incredible variation to the classic potato chips! Made with sweet potatoes, it\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\’s still the crispy snack everyone loves with a richer flavor. The hardest part of this recipe is putting these chips aside as you\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\’d certainly can\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\’t get enough.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz sweet potatoes, peeled, and sliced thinly
  • cooking spray
  • 1 tbsp Italian herbs
  • salt and ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with olive oil.
  3. Peel and slice the sweet potatoes.*
  4. Place slices on the foil, spray slices again with the cooking spray and sprinkle with Italian herbs and salt.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes, turn over, reduce oven to 300 degrees F, and continue to bake until slices are crisp, but not burned, approximately 15 to 20 more minutes.
  6. Cool, remove from the baking sheet and enjoy.

Recipe Notes

Note: A small sweet potato, 6 to 8 oz. will fill one baking sheet. *A mandolin makes this job a breeze
