Ingredients
- 1 lb mild Italian sausage
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb Velveeta cheese, cubed
- 1 tbsp oregano
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 6 pcs cocktail rye bread, sliced into quarters
- ¼ cup red onion, chopped
- 1 oz lettuce, torn
- â…“ cup mayonnaise
For Garnish:
- parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cook Italian sausage and ground beef in a skillet and drain oil. Add oregano, onion, and chili powder and mix well. Add cubed cheese and stir until all is melted. Set aside.
- Squeeze about 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on one side of the bread and top one piece of torn lettuce.
- Spread about 2 tablespoons of mixture on each slice of cocktail rye bread, garnish with parsley and serve.
