How To Make Spicy Nacho Cheese Sauce
Forget the artificial flavors of a store-bought sauce with this nacho cheese sauce recipe. It’s made with a combination of cheddar cheese and hot sauce.
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Sprinkle the flour over the top, stirring constantly, for 1 to 2 minutes until a thick paste forms.
Slowly add the milk to the flour-butter paste in a steady stream, whisking constantly.
Continue cooking, whisking constantly, for 5 minutes until the mixture thickens.
Add the cheese, whisking constantly until it is melted.
Add the hot sauce and cayenne. Taste, then add salt and pepper, to taste.
Serve with nacho chips, and enjoy!
