How To Make Southern Pasta and Bean Salad
Our colorful pasta and bean salad makes a filling lunch dish! Each bite comes with tender pasta and beans with flavorful spices for a tasteful meal.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 2cupsseashell pasta,small
- ⅓cupItalian-style salad dressing
- salt,to taste
- 15ozpinto beans,1 can
- 15ozblack beans,1 can
- 15ozwhole kernel corn,1 can, drained
- 3tomatoes,chopped
- 1½tbspground cumin
- ½tbspchili powder
- ½tbsponion powder
- ½tspgarlic powder
- ¼tspdried red pepper flakes
- salt and pepper,to taste
Instructions

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.

Add the pasta, then cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente. Drain and rinse pasta in cold water.

Place the pasta in a large mixing bowl, then add the dressing and salt. Mix well.

Combine the pinto beans and black beans in a colander, then rinse them with cold water.

Add the beans, corn, tomatoes, cumin, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, dried red pepper flakes and salt and pepper to taste to the pasta. Toss lightly.

Chill the salad in the refrigerator.
