How To Make Pepper Crusted Roast Beef
Take five minutes to prepare this roast beef simply seasoned with black pepper and garlic powder, then baked to the perfect doneness.

- 1tbspvegetable oil
- 1tbspcoarse ground black pepper
- 1tspkosher salt
- ½tspgarlic powder
- 4lbsbeef eye round roast,boneless

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Mix the black pepper, salt, and garlic powder in a small bowl.

Rub the roast with the oil, then, with a dry hand, season the roast with the black pepper mixture all over the roast.

Bake, uncovered, for 2½ to 3 hours.

Use a meat thermometer to remove at the right time for the desired doneness. For medium-rare, remove roast at 135 degrees F; for medium, remove roast at 140 degrees F; and for medium-well remove roast at 145 degrees F.

Let sit for 15 minutes lightly covered with foil before slicing.
