How To Make BBQ Grape Sloppy Joes

Give a delicious upgrade to your sloppy joes with this recipe that cooks the beef in grape jelly and barbecue sauce. Serve with a cream cheese spread.

For BBQ Grape Sloppy Joes:

  • 1lbground beef,(80/20)
  • 1cupyellow onion,diced
  • ½tspsalt
  • ½tsppepper
  • 1cupgrape jelly
  • ½cupbarbecue sauce
  • 6brioche buns

For Cream Cheese Spread:

  • 8ozcream cheese,softened
  • cupmayonnaise
  • 1tbsponion juice,or finely chopped onion
  • 1pinchsalt and pepper,to taste
  • hot sauce,to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet add the beef and onions. Cook well for 5 to 6 minutes, breaking it apart but leaving some chunks.

  2. Add in the salt and pepper, grape jelly, and bbq sauce. Cook for about 5 to 6 minutes until the sauce starts to evaporate and the mixture becomes “sloppy”.

  3. Spoon the mixture onto the brioche buns topped with cream cheese spread.

Cream Cheese Spread:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a stand mixer, or with electric beaters, until smooth. Spread on brioche buns.

  2. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 1 week in the refrigerator.
