Broccoli Cauliflower Cheesy Pasta Bake Recipe

How To Make Broccoli Cauliflower Cheesy Pasta Bake

  • 8 oz. penne or fusilli pasta (cooked & cooled)
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • Salt & ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup shredded or powdered Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1 1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 7 oz. frozen broccoli florets (blanched & cooled)
  • 7 oz. cauliflower florets (blanched & cooled)

To Serve:

  • garlic bread
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt butter & add in flour, forming a roux. Pour in milk & continuously whisk until mixture thickens.
  3. Add provolone cheese, garlic powder, and thyme and stir until blended.
  4. Add broccoli, cauliflower, & drained pasta to cheese sauce. Mix until combined
  5. Season to taste with salt & ground pepper. Adjust accordingly
  6. Grease your preferred baking dish & add in the mixture. You will use the same baking dish to serve
  7. Cover with shredded Parmesan cheese
  8. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes. Set aside for a few minutes prior to serving
  9. Serve alongside garlic bread
