Ingredients

  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cups cauliflower florets
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the broccoli and cauliflower and cook for 4-5 minutes until crisp-tender. Drain and set aside.

  3. In a separate saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

  4. Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

  5. In the prepared baking dish, layer the cooked broccoli and cauliflower. Pour the cheese sauce over the vegetables.

  6. In a small bowl, combine the shredded cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses. Sprinkle the cheese mixture evenly over the casserole.

  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve hot.
