How To Make Hibachi Chicken
Inspired by a Japanese favorite, this hibachi chicken recipe is an easy dish of chicken breast slices cooked in butter and sesame oil.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 3chicken breasts,cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2tbspsesame oil or olive oil
- 2tbspbutter,divided
- 2garlic cloves,minced
- 3tbsplow sodium soy sauce
- lemon juice,to taste
- rice,cooked, for serving
- scallions,chopped, for garnish, optional
For Yum Yum Sauce:
- ¾cupmayo,use Japanese mayo if possible
- 1tbspketchup,heaping
- 1tspgranulated sugar
- 1tsppaprika,smoked or regular
- 2tsprice vinegar
- 1tspgarlic powder
- ¼tsponion powder
- salt and pepper,to taste
Instructions

Add the yum yum sauce ingredients to a bowl and stir until well combined. Set aside.

Cut up the chicken and season it with salt and pepper.

Add the oil and 1 tablespoon of butter to a large skillet over medium-high heat. Let the pan heat up for a few minutes. Cook the chicken for 5 minutes, turning once halfway, or until cooked through.

Add in the rest of the butter, the garlic, and the soy sauce. Let it bubble for about a minute.

Squeeze some lemon juice over top. Serve with rice, yum yum sauce, and optional chopped scallions.
