  • 1 lb mahi-mahi fillets, chopped into ¼-inch slices

  • 2 tbsp ginger, fresh, minced
  • 2 tbsp red onions, or shallots, minced
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp honey
  • salt and ground black pepper, to season

For Mango Salsa:

  • 1 mango, peeled, pitted, and diced
  • 3 oz red onion, chopped
  • ½ cup cilantro leaves, fresh, chopped
  • 1 jalapeno, or any similar pepper, minced
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • salt and ground black pepper, to season

Instructions

Mango Salsa:

  1. Combine all the salsa ingredients in a medium-sized bowl.

  2. Season to taste with salt and ground black pepper. Adjust accordingly.

  3. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Mahi Mahi Burger:

  1. Combine all your ingredients for the burger in a bowl.

  2. Season with salt and pepper. Gently stir, making sure not to over-mix.

  3. Create 4 patties from the mixture, cover, and chill for 20 minutes and prepare your salsa.

  4. Preheat a large skillet with olive oil over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for 5 minutes on each side.
