How To Make Make Ahead Tuna Noodle Casserole
Ingredients
- 6 tbsp. butter
- ¾ cup mushrooms, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup red bell pepper, diced
- ¼ cup onion, chopped
- ¼ cup flour
- 2 ½ cups milk
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 12 oz tuna, two 6 oz cans, drained
- ¼ cup parsley, minced
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 2 cups noodles, of choice; cooked
- ½ cup bread crumbs
Instructions

Melt 4 tbsp. of butter in a medium saucepan. Add vegetables and cook until tender.

Add flour and cook for a minute. Remove from heat and whisk in milk.

Return to heat and whisk frequently until bubbling.

Remove from heat again and add cheese, stirring until melted.

Add tuna, parsley and seasonings to taste.

Place noodles in a casserole dish. Pour tuna mixture on top of noodles.

Top with bread crumbs and remaining butter.

Bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes. Serve.
