How To Make Grilled Chicken Cordon Bleu

Chicken cordon bleu is made lighter in this grilled recipe. Marinated chicken breast is served with a topping of sliced ham and Swiss cheese.

Ingredients

  • 4chicken breasts,boneless skinless
  • 5tbspdijon mustard
  • 3tbsphoney
  • 2tspsoy sauce
  • 1tsplemon juice
  • 4deli ham,slices
  • 4ozswiss cheese

Instructions

  1. Combine dijon, honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Remove 3 tablespoons of this mixture and set aside for sauce.

  2. Combine the chicken breasts with the marinade and let sit up to 4 hours in the fridge.

  3. Mix reserved marinade with 3 tablespoons mayonnaise and refrigerate.

  4. Preheat the grill to medium and grill the chicken 6 to 7 minutes per side or until juices run clear and the chicken reaches 170 degrees F.

  5. Add ham and cheese on top and close grill for about 1 to 2 minutes or until cheese melts. Serve immediately with sauce.
