How To Make Potato and Pea Samosas

Ingredients

  • 2 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1 cup green peas, cooked
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • 12 samosa wrappers

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a frying pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.

  2. Add onions, garlic, and ginger. Cook until onions are translucent.

  3. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.

  4. Add mashed potatoes and cooked peas. Mix until well combined. Allow the mixture to cool.

  5. Take a samosa wrapper and fold it into a cone shape. Fill it with the potato and pea mixture and seal the edges using water. Repeat for all the wrappers.

  6. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the samosas until golden brown and crispy.

  7. Serve hot with chutney or sauce of your choice.
