How To Make Smoked Cheese in Blankets

Who says vegetarians don’t get to enjoy savory meals? A taste of these authentic vegetarian recipes will make you change your mind. So, you just might want to go vegetarian after your first bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 4 smoked cheese slices
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 4 equal squares.

  3. Place a smoked cheese slice in the center of each puff pastry square.

  4. Fold the corners of the pastry over the cheese and pinch to seal.

  5. Brush each pastry with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds and poppy seeds.

  6. Transfer the pastries onto the prepared baking sheet.

  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the pastries are golden brown and puffed.

  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
