How To Make Brie, Apple & Onion Tart

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 medium apples, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz brie cheese, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet and place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the thinly sliced onions and cook until caramelized, stirring occasionally, for about 10-15 minutes.

  4. Spread the caramelized onions evenly over the puff pastry.

  5. Layer the apple slices on top of the onions.

  6. Place the brie cheese slices on top of the apples.

  7. Drizzle the balsamic vinegar over the tart and season with salt and pepper.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

  10. Garnish with fresh thyme leaves before serving.
