Ingredients
- 1 lb bananas, thickly sliced
- 1 cup all-purpose flour, or whole-wheat flour
- ½ cup hot water
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup milk
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp salt
- cooking spray
For Serving:
- 1 oz ice cream

In a small bowl, stir to combine the hot water and butter. Set aside.

In another bowl, stir to combine the brown sugar and cornstarch. Set aside

Grease the inner pot of your crockpot with cooking spray.

In a large mixing bowl, mix together all-purpose flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and sugar. If using whole wheat flour, stir everything together to combine instead.

Make a well at the center. Pour the milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Fold until a batter is formed.

Fold your bananas until its spread evenly in the batter. Pour the batter into your greased crockpot.

Sprinkle your brown sugar mixture on top of the batter. Pour your hot water and butter mixture afterward.

Cover, and cook on High for 2½ to 3 hours, or until a cake tester comes out clean.

Once done, set aside at room temperature, covered, for 20 minutes before serving.
