How To Make Copycat Fannie May Chocolate Fudge
This chocolate treat is a great pick-me-up when you're in need of a sugar rush.
Ingredients
- 1¼ lb dark chocolate chips, or milk chocolate chips
- 4¾ oz marshmallows, regular-sized
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- ¾ cup unsalted butter
- ¾ cup milk
- ¾ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
-
Line a 12-inch x 8-inch x 2-inch baking tin with parchment paper. Make sure there is a slight overhang from the baking tin and it covers up the sides.
-
In a deep skillet, combine sugar, butter, and milk. Bring mixture to a boil, while stirring constantly. Continue boiling for no more than 3 minutes.
-
While waiting, combine your chocolate chips, marshmallows, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl attached to a hand beater.
-
Pour your hot syrup into your marshmallows, then beat until mixture is smooth and melted, roughly 5 to 7 minutes. You may need to scrape both the bottom and sides.
-
Pour into your lined baking tin. Set aside in a chilled area and allow to firm up roughly 3 hours.
-
Once firm, lift out your fudge using the overhang and place it onto your working area. Cut into squares. Serve.
