This apple crisp recipe is easy, quick, and tastes yummy. It’s really good with vanilla ice cream and it’s a good fall recipe when apples are plentiful.

All you need is a microwavable bowl and a working microwave to make this simple apple crisp right at home.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups apples, sliced
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp butter

Topping:

  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ cup quick oatmeal
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp. nutmeg
  • ¼ cup nuts, chopped (optional)
  • ¼ cup butter

Instructions

  1. Combine apples, sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon.
  2. Put in a deep glass pie pan or 8x8x2-inch glass dish and dot with butter.
  3. For the topping, mix all but butter.
  4. Cut in butter with a pastry blender.
  5. Spread mixture on top of apples.
  6. Microwave on high for 8-10 minutes, turning twice throughout.
