How To Make Chocolate Peppermint Cookies in a Jar

Ingredients
- 1½cupsall purpose flour,spooned and leveled
- ¾tspbaking soda
- ½tspsalt
- ¼cupunsweetened natural cocoa powder
- ¾cupbrown sugar,light or dark, packed
- ¼cupgranulated sugar
- ½cupsemi sweet chocolate chips
- ½cuppeppermint bark,chopped
- 10tbspunsalted butter,softened
- 1large egg
- 1tspvanilla extract
Instructions
To Make Jars:

Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Layer the ingredients in a 32-ounce mason jars.

Put the cocoa powder followed with granulated sugar, then brown sugar, then flour plus baking soda plus salt, then chocolate chips, and lastly the peppermint bark.

Use a spoon to layer. Seal the lids, decorate with ribbon, and gift with the tags.
To Bake Cookies:

In a large bowl using a hand-held mixer or stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, beat the butter, egg, and vanilla extract together on high speed until combined.

Add the flour, baking soda, salt, cocoa powder, sugars, chocolate chips, peppermint bark, butter, egg, and vanilla extract, then mix at low speed until combined.

Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto parchment paper or silicone baking mat lined baking sheets, about 3 inches apart.

Bake in a 350 degrees F oven for about 10 minutes until the edges are set.
