How To Make Japanese Beef and Radish Stew Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 lb beef chuck roast
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 3 radishes, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- salt and pepper to taste
- sliced scallions for garnish
Instructions

Season beef with salt and pepper. In a dutch oven, heat up oil over medium-high heat and brown the beef on all sides. Transfer to a plate.

In the same pot, sauté the onion, garlic, and ginger until fragrant. Add the radish and cook for a few minutes.

Pour in beef broth, soy sauce, and sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and add the beef.

Cover and simmer for 2 hours or until beef is tender.

Serve hot with rice and garnish with sliced scallions.
