  • 1/2 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup ice-cold water
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup carrot sticks
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine egg and ice-cold water.
  3. Dip beef and vegetables in the batter until coated.
  4. Heat oil in a large skillet or deep fryer.
  5. Fry beef and vegetables in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve immediately.
