Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch.

  3. Place the chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet and brush them generously with the sauce mixture.

  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

  5. While the chicken is baking, pour the remaining sauce mixture into a small saucepan and bring it to a boil. Reduce heat and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, or until thickened.

  6. Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the oven and brush it with the thickened sauce. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

  7. Serve the baked Asian-style honey chicken hot with steamed rice or your favorite side dish.
