Ingredients

  • 8 oz chow mein noodles
  • 2 chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Cook the chow mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large wok or skillet, heat 2 tbsp of vegetable oil over high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned. Remove from the wok and set aside.

  3. In the same wok, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the garlic, bell pepper, and carrot. Stir-fry for 2 minutes.

  4. Add the bean sprouts and green onions to the wok. Cook for another minute.

  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and black pepper. Pour the sauce into the wok and mix well.

  6. Add the cooked chow mein noodles and cooked chicken back into the wok. Stir-fry everything together for 2-3 minutes, until heated through.

  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
