How To Make Jamie Oliver’s Chicken Tikka Masala Recipe
A classic Indian dish with tender marinated chicken in a creamy tomato-based sauce.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1 tbsp of freshly grated ginger
- 1 tbsp of garlic powder
- 1 tbsp of ground coriander
- 1 tbsp of cumin
- 1 tbsp of turmeric
- 1 tbsp of paprika
- 1 tsp of cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 cup of plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp of tomato paste
- 1 can of chopped tomatoes
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- Fresh cilantro, chopped, for garnish
Instructions

In a bowl, mix together the chicken with the ginger, garlic powder, coriander, cumin, turmeric, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and yogurt. Marinate for at least an hour in the fridge.

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil and cook the onion until softened.

Add the tomato paste and cook for a minute. Then add in the chopped tomatoes and let it simmer for 10 minutes.

Add in the marinated chicken and let it cook for 15-20 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through.

Stir in the heavy cream and let it simmer for another 10 minutes.

Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with rice.
