Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 jar Trader Joe’s Masala Simmer Sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add in the diced onion and garlic and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

  2. Add in the grated ginger and spices and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  3. Add in the chicken pieces and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-6 minutes.

  4. Pour in the jar of Masala Simmer Sauce and let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes.

  5. Stir in the heavy cream and allow the dish to cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the sauce has thickened and the chicken is cooked through.

  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste and garnish with freshly chopped cilantro.

  7. Serve hot with warm naan bread or steamed rice.
