Ingredients

  • 1 lb green beans, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds and let them crackle.

  2. Add the green beans and sauté for 2-3 minutes.

  3. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, salt, and sugar. Mix well.

  4. Cover the pan and cook for about 10 minutes or until the green beans are cooked but still crisp.

  5. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
