How To Make Fleming’s Steakhouse’s Filet Mignon
Juicy, tender filet mignon steak with a charred crust and rich, meaty flavor.

Ingredients
- 4 filet mignon steaks, 6-8 oz each
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp butter
- 4 sprigs of fresh thyme
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Rub olive oil over the steaks and season with salt and pepper.

Heat a large skillet over high heat and sear steaks for 2-3 minutes per side until a golden-brown crust forms.

Transfer the skillet to the oven and let cook for an additional 6-10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches the desired doneness.

Before removing from oven, baste the steaks with butter, thyme, and garlic.

Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
