How To Make Latin Yellow Rice
Our rich and savory yellow rice makes the perfect side dish to any meal! It’s loaded with hearty seasonings for the most delectable plate of rice.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 2cupslong grain rice,uncooked
- 4tspcanola oil
- 1chicken bullion cube,or vegetable bullion
- 5medium scallions,chopped
- 2garlic cloves,minced
- 1medium tomato,diced
- ½cupcilantro,chopped
- 4cupswater
- Badia Sazon,1 packet, or homemade
- 1tspsalt,or more to taste
Instructions

In a medium heavy pot with a tight fitting lid, heat the oil on medium heat.

Sauté the scallions, cilantro and garlic for 2 minutes.

Add the tomatoes, then sauté for 1 minute.

Add the rice, then sauté for 2 minutes longer, stirring frequently.

Add the water, bullion cube and sazón.

Let the water boil on a high flame, stirring once.

As the water boils down and just barely skims the top of the rice, turn the flame to the lowest setting.

Allow to cook, covered, for 15 minutes.

Turn off the heat, then let the rice sit for at least 5 minutes.
