Ingredients

  • 1 cup of almonds, sliced
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the sliced almonds, water, and sugar.

  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  3. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 15 minutes.

  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

  5. Let the mixture cool for a few minutes before straining it through a fine mesh sieve.

  6. Serve the almond syrup warm over pancakes, waffles, or ice cream.
