How To Make Harissa Hummus Recipe

This creamy, spicy dip is made with chickpeas, tahini, and harissa paste.

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tbsp harissa paste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp water


  1. In a food processor, blend the chickpeas, tahini, harissa paste, garlic, lemon juice, and salt until well combined.

  2. While the motor is running, slowly add in the olive oil and water until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.

  3. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

  4. Serve with pita chips, carrots, or celery.
