How To Make Turnip and Mushroom Stir-Fry

A flavorful and healthy stir-fry made with turnips and mushrooms.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 medium turnips, cut into matchsticks
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over high heat.

  2. Add garlic and onion and stir-fry for 1 minute.

  3. Add turnips and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, until slightly softened.

  4. Add mushrooms and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes.

  5. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper and stir-fry for another minute.

  6. Serve hot, garnished with green onions if desired.
