  • 1 store-bought pie crust
  • 2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup crumbled Gorgonzola
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups half-and-half
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. Unroll the pie crust into a 9-inch tart pan and trim the edges.

  3. Arrange the sliced pears on top of the crust and sprinkle with crumbled Gorgonzola.

  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, half-and-half, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg. Pour mixture over the pears and cheese.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set.

  6. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
