How To Make Seared Garlic Seafood with Spicy Harissa Bisque

Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 lb scallops
- 1 lb mussels
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For the harissa bisque:
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp harissa paste
- 2 cups vegetable broth
- 1 cup coconut milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add shrimp, scallops, and mussels to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until seafood is seared and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper.

Remove the seafood from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the harissa paste and cook for another minute.

Pour in the vegetable broth and coconut milk. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for 10 minutes.

Use an immersion blender or transfer the mixture to a blender to puree until smooth.

Return the bisque to the skillet and add the seared seafood. Cook for additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.

Serve the seared garlic seafood with spicy harissa bisque in bowls, garnished with fresh cilantro.
