How To Make Sticky Pork Belly Bao Buns

Ingredients
- 1.5 lb pork belly, skin removed
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup honey
- 12 bao buns
- 1 cucumber, sliced into matchsticks
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sriracha, for serving
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).

In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, water, and honey.

Place the pork belly in a roasting pan and pour the sauce mixture over it, ensuring the pork belly is fully coated.

Cover the pan with foil and roast in the oven for 1 hour. Then, remove the foil and cook for another 30 minutes, basting the pork belly with the sauce every 10 minutes.

Increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C) and cook for an additional 15 minutes to crisp up the pork belly.

Remove the pork belly from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes. Then, slice it into thin pieces.

Steam the bao buns according to the package instructions.

Fill each bao bun with a slice of pork belly, cucumber matchsticks, and sliced green onions. Serve with Sriracha on the side.
