  • 2 lb broccoli, florets only
  • ½ cup butter, unsalted
  • ½ cup almonds, flaked, sliced, slivered or roasted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • tbsp cornstarch
  • cup chicken broth
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 dash pepper


  1. Heat up a wide skillet over medium heat and melt butter.

  2. Add garlic & sauté until golden.

  3. Add broccoli and sauté until tender.

  4. Dissolve cornstarch in chicken broth then add to broccoli.

  5. Bring to a quick boil and cook just until thickened.

  6. Add the almonds & toss to combine.

  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust accordingly.

  8. Serve with mashed potatoes. Best with chicken.
