How To Make Steamed Broccoli
Steamed broccoli florets are the perfect side dish for hearty steak, pasta, and casserole dishes! This steamed veggie dish is easy and quick to make.

Ingredients
- 3cupsbroccoli florets,trimmed and washed
- 1½cupswater
- salt pepper and butter,for serving, optional
Instructions

Place a steam basket or colander into a large saucepan.

Add broccoli and enough water to cover the bottom of the saucepan.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer.

Cover and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, or until broccoli is tender-crisp when pierced with a fork.

Serve and enjoy!
Recipe Notes
If you don’t have a steamer, you can use a saucepan instead. Just add ½-inch water into the bottom of the saucepan.
