How To Make Steamed Broccoli

Ingredients
- 3cupsbroccoli florets,trimmed and washed
- 1½cupswater
- salt pepper and butter,for serving, optional
Instructions

Place a steam basket or colander into a large saucepan.

Add broccoli and enough water to cover the bottom of the saucepan.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer.

Cover and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, or until broccoli is tender-crisp when pierced with a fork.

Serve and enjoy!
Recipe Notes
If you don’t have a steamer, you can use a saucepan instead. Just add ½-inch water into the bottom of the saucepan.
