Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the lime juice, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, black pepper, and olive oil. Mix well.

  2. Add the chicken strips to the marinade and toss until coated. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.

  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated chicken. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until cooked through.

  4. Warm the flour tortillas in a pan or microwave.

  5. To assemble the tacos, place a spoonful of the cooked chicken on each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced red onion, and chopped cilantro.
