Chicken Ranch Tacos Recipe

Add this chicken ranch tacos to your list of delicious taco recipes for Taco Tuesday! Think tender shredded chicken, crispy bacon bits, shredded cheese, and veggies, topped with homemade ranch sauce and fresh lime juice. All these scrumptious taco fillings are then served on top of warm flour tortillas for an easy, bite-sized experience. When I made these inspired Mexican chicken ranch tacos for my guests, they had a blast, and finished each meat and veggie-filled soft taco shells in one sitting!

Instead of buying store bought tacos, I made a whole batch at home. It was more delicious and fun since I could add more of my favorite taco fillings. These family friendly chicken bacon ranch tacos are simple and fun to make. For my easy tacos recipe, the chicken and bacon are already cooked in advance so all you really need to do is assemble the tacos to your liking. Cooking the bacon and chicken taco meat beforehand lessens the preparation time. The only cooking I did was to warm up the flour tortillas so it’s slightly crisp and tasty when layered with the fillings.

You can use leftover chicken breasts for this shredded chicken ranch tacos recipe, or amp up the flavor with some rotisserie chicken, or grilled chicken for tacos. Just make sure to cut it into small pieces so it fits the tortillas. I used a hand mixer for a faster and more consistent shredding. Meanwhile, for the bacon bits, simply pan fry the meat until it’s crispy. Afterwards, break it into smaller pieces so it’s bite-sized friendly on the taco.

Lastly, making the homemade ranch sauce was also super easy. Just mix the sour cream and ranch seasoning together and then set aside. You can use a store bought ranch dressing, but I honestly preferred the taste of my homemade ranch. It was much more flavorful and tangy. Adding in a bit of taco seasoning into the mix can also enhance the taste of the ranch sauce.

Once you have the meat and ranch ready, begin assembling your taco! Start with the flour tortilla base then layer it with the lettuce, diced tomatoes, chicken, bacon, and cheese. I then drizzled the ranch sauce all over the tacos and then added a bit of lemon juice for a hint of citrus!
