Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • Steamed rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic. Set aside.

  2. Heat a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, sauté onions, bell pepper, carrot, and broccoli until crisp-tender, about 3-4 minutes.

  4. Add the cooked beef back to the skillet and pour in the sauce mixture. Stir well to coat everything evenly.

  5. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

  6. Sprinkle green onions on top and serve hot over steamed rice.
